bali should be on the travel bucket list of anyone with a love of culture, beautiful landscapes and indulgent relaxation. come with us as we take you on a trip through our highlights of this exotic destination and the inspiration behind our scarf – festival fever.
where we stayed – como shambhala – this jewel in the crown of the como hotel group is nestled amongst the rice paddies outside of ubud. luxurious but understated and offering the ultimate in rejuvenation and spa packages, it is the perfect destination for a holiday that feeds the body and the soul.
where we ate – mozaic – chef chris salans reigns supreme at this gastronomic experience that takes elegant simplicity to a whole new level. the tropical garden setting and the ingenuity of the dishes make this one of the most unique dining experiences you will ever have.
where we shopped – the boutique at como shambhala – whilst we enjoyed our excursions to the shops of ubud and the surrounding villages, we loved taking our time in the tranquil environment of the boutique at como. their eye for beautiful details and quality products made shopping from their eclectic collection of homewares, fashion and their unique brand of massage oils and body care an absolute pleasure.
what to explore – the temples – we were lucky to witness the rich culture of the temples during the galungan festival. observing the communities as they came together for their prayers and offerings, dressed in their vibrant colours and performing their ancient rituals, was an honour. the image for our scarf, festival fever, was taken as we quietly and respectfully witnessed these ceremonies.
other adventures – finn’s beach club – it is a bit of a distance from ubud, but finn’s beach club in uluwatu is one of the best ways to experience the beaches of bali in comfort and style. with loungers, snorkelling equipment, kayaks and an amazing restaurant and bar set right on the beach, this really is a sun-kissed piece of paradise.
the result of our inspiration – festival fever – our beautiful cashmere-blend scarf has captured the magic of bali with it’s subtle colours and tactile textures. pre-orders now open
